Curriculum
Autistic Support Curriculum
Within the Autistic Support Classroom, we work on several aspects of a student’s education:
Self-Help Skills: Dressing, toileting, organization, hygiene, and eating
Behavior: Increasing appropriate tasks within the school setting
Communication: verbal, nonverbal, assistive technology
Social-Emotional: Improving reactions and interactions with others across all settings as well as recognizing their own emotions and appropriate coping strategies
Academic: Students who participate in the general education curriculum receive accommodations and modifications to meet their instructional needs. Students who do not fully participate in the general education curriculum are working on their individual academic goals based on their IEPs.
