Gillette, Melissa: Learning Support

Hello!
I’m Ms. Gillette, and I’m thrilled to be your child’s Learning Support teacher at West Penn Elementary! This is my second year teaching at West Penn, and before that, I spent seven wonderful years as a paraprofessional in the Autistic Support classroom.

In our classroom, we love to learn, laugh, and have fun! I believe learning should be interactive and engaging, so I plan hands-on lessons that keep students curious and excited. I also work hard to create a safe, supportive environment where every child feels comfortable expressing themselves and confident taking risks in their learning. Building strong, positive connections with students is one of my favorite parts of teaching!
