Fine Motor Activities: these are smaller movements of the hands that involve picking up small objects. These tasks help in the development of a grip for holding a pencil as well as refining finger control for use of a keyboard/computer.

 

Easy:

  1. Stringing ziti pasta
  2. Placing pipe cleaners through a strainer
  3. Stringing beads on a pipe cleaner
  4. Stringing beads on a thin piece of spaghetti
  5. Stacking blocks
  6. Stacking plastic cups to build a building
  7. Placing small rocks or pom poms into an empty plastic bottle
  8. Placing small rocks, beads, or pom poms into an empty paper towel tube
