Meet Mrs. Blaser

My name is Mrs. Courtney Blaser, and I am a second-grade teacher at West Penn Elementary. I was born and raised in West Penn, and I am thrilled to be teaching in the same school I attended as a child. I am a 2006 graduate of Tamaqua Area School District and a 2010 graduate of Kutztown University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K–6) with a concentration in Mathematics. I also earned my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University (WGU).

From 2011 to 2014, I taught second, third, and fourth grades in Central Columbia School District. I then took time away from the classroom to focus on raising my children before returning to teaching in 2022 to pursue my passion for education. This will be my fifth year teaching second grade at West Penn, and I truly love being part of this school and community.

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and our two dogs. We love traveling, being outdoors, and cheering on our favorite sports teams (Go Broncos!). 

I am passionate about helping students grow academically, build confidence, and develop a love of learning. I look forward to partnering with you to make this a wonderful and successful school year for your child!
